Capstone Presentations

At my presentation booth I had my tri fold which included my infographic poster, graphs charts, information about nurse practitioners and what they are and little animations of nurses. Also, I had my laptop which included my website (My end product), and next to my laptop I had my 15 page essay. I did not have anything else displayed.




My overall experience of my presentation was good. I actually enjoyed explaining/giving information about a topic that I feel strongly about. The hardest part was remembering to hit all the important parts of my presentation. The easiest part was talking to the judges without any hesitation. I was not nervous at all, everything just flowed out. Overall I think I did a good job presenting, a better job than I thought I would.

Capestones Presentation Assets

To accomplish my presentation, I created a website that provides information about issues with health insurance. Also, I provided information for children, adults and elder adults so that they can know solutions for these issues. To setup my presentation I purchased a tri-fold to put my infographic on which also includes pictures of nurse practitioners, graphs, and little cartoon characters of nurses.  I also included facts and statistics and solutions to my problem. I will use my laptop to show my website and infographic poster and also have my infographic visible on my tri fold.

My info-graphic poster relates to my capstone because on my poster I talked about facts, statistics, and solutions that I mentioned in my capstone essay; I did not have to much research to finish my poster because I am familiar with the information for my capstone; The easiest part about creating my poster was putting the information I know on it, the hardest part about creating my info-graphic was uploading it to filezilla the right way; I created my info-graphic during the Spring semester; I do not need any addition changes made on my info-graphic; Overall I like my info-graphic even though I did not complete mines from scratch.

PSA on Healthcare Coverage

• I liked this PSA because instead of using overly sad pictures or sad songs, they used animated characters to explain why everyone needs to be covered. Also, they used examples of reasons why everyone need to be covered. I most likely enjoyed the points proven in this PSA.

• I liked this PSA because the person that did all the explaining was someone i enjoy watching on television. Also, the person that explained told her person experiences with not having health insurance and gave clear reasons on why it's important. 

The key points I will emphasis are the importance of health insurance and why it should be required. 

Pictures of those in need and sad music would be appropriate for the PSA. Also, uplifting music would be appropriate.

The type of PSA I will use is one showing the risk of not having health insurance, encouraging others to be more influenced to get health insurance and influence them to help make it possible.

Outline: 

I will start with pictures of people without health insurance showing the outcomes.

Next, I will have music sad music playing with additional pictures.
Afterwards, towards the end I will show pictures of those who are healthy with health insurance with uplifting music playing.


The article is very helpful and can help guide me during my PSA. I have a better understanding about how to create my PSA and will use it during my process.

1. Identify the goals of the project.

• The goals of my project is to prove to others that the lack of health insurance is a big issue and plays a big role in our lives. Also, my goals is to help find a solution to the problem.

1. Why is it important and why should we care?

• It is important because not having health insurance causes risks in our lives such as death. Not having health insurance can lead to the lack of health care as well.

1. How do these goals fit with your career objectives?

• These goals fit with my career objectives because my career is to become an Registered Nurse in which i would have to deal with patients who have issues with the lack of health insurance. 

1. How does your project give back to society?

• My project gives back to society because it'll show society how big of an issue the lack of health insurance actually is and that'll push more people to help find a better solution to the issue. Also, me doing a fund-raiser to raise money so i could donate to clinics could help save someone's life or even help someone with special needs.
